Introducing the XQP 531 Optical De-esser

XQP announces their first product, the 531 Optical De-esser module in API's convenient and popular VPR 500 series format. The 531 utitlizes a pair of VACTROL® optoisolators for gain reduction, providing for very smooth de-essing with minimal artifacts.

The XQP 531 is a VPR derivitive of the little-known but much-loved Dane Optical De-esser #31 designed in the 1990's. The circuit is essentially unchanged from the original, except for a few minor revisions to insure stability and consistency from unit to unit.

Available Now

The 531 is now available. Final metal work has been completed by our friend Jon Parris and company at Ideal Specialty Company in Tulsa.

All parts are in stock, including PC boards, and we are looking into some dealership options.
